1. About these terms

These terms set out the conditions for using Amizu (the Service). Please review them when using the Service.

2. The Service

The Service is a browser tool for creating and editing colored grid charts from photos and images, saving PNGs and printing. No login is required.

Generated charts are aids for making craft projects. The Service does not generate stitch symbols or written instructions. Finished size and appearance depend on yarn, hooks or needles, technique and other factors.

3. Rights in images and results

Use images you own, have permission to use, or may lawfully use. Respect the copyright, trademark, likeness, privacy and other rights of third parties.

Converting an image into a chart does not remove third-party rights in the original image. Before publishing, distributing or selling a chart or finished work, check the image's terms of use and obtain any necessary rights.

Use of the Service does not require you to transfer rights in your images or results to the operator, or grant the operator permission to publish, distribute or sell them.

4. Processing and storage

Images are processed in your browser. Selected photos, images and generated chart content are not sent to the Service's servers.

Your latest chart, generation settings and progress pin are saved in your browser's localStorage. Original images, generated alternatives and undo history are not saved. Use Delete saved chart in Settings to remove saved data.

Data does not sync across devices, browsers or domains. Browser settings, storage limits, clearing site data or private browsing may prevent saving or restoring work. Save important charts separately, for example as PNGs.

5. Analytics

The Service uses Google Analytics to understand usage and improve the Service. Page views, editor visits and chart generation button clicks are sent to Google, and cookies or similar technologies may be used. Custom events do not include selected images, file names or chart content.

6. Prohibited use

Do not use the Service unlawfully or infringe third-party rights, interfere with its operation, gain unauthorized access, exploit vulnerabilities or intentionally impose excessive load.

7. Precautions and responsibility

Check colors, stitch counts, row counts and other details before starting, and edit as needed. The Service does not guarantee the accuracy or fitness for a particular purpose of results, operation on every device, continued availability or retention of data.

These terms do not provide a blanket exemption from legal liability for damage caused intentionally or negligently by the operator. They do not limit your rights under Japan's Consumer Contract Act or other applicable law.

8. Changes to the Service and terms

The Service may change or be temporarily suspended for improvements, maintenance, outages or other reasons. Planned major changes or discontinuation will be announced on the Service in advance where possible.

Changes to these terms and their effective date will be announced on the Service, and any legally required procedures will be followed.

9. Governing law

These terms are governed by Japanese law, without prejudice to protections under mandatory provisions of law applicable to you.
